William H. Mead
William Henry Mead (The month of january 11, 1921 – Feb 25, 1974) was bishop from the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, becoming diocesan from 1968 to 1974.
Mead was created in Detroit, Michigan on The month of january 11, 1921. He was educated at Cranbrook School and then studied in the College of Michigan, after which Lake Forest College, where he graduated having a Bachelor of Arts in 1943. Then he were built with a brief business career within the automobile industry. Also, he finished the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1950 having a Bachelor of Divinity.
Mead was ordained deacon in 1950 and priest in 1951. On This summer 1, 1950, he married Katherine Baldwin Lloyd. He offered as assistant priest of Christ Church Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hillsides, Michigan. In 1952 he grew to become rector of St Paul’s Church in Alexandria, Virginia, during 1957 he grew to become the affiliate director from the Parishfleld Community Church working in brighton, Michigan. Between 1959 and 1964, he was the rector from the Church of St John the Evangelist in Saint Paul, Minnesota. On May 10, 1964 he grew to become Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was elected Bishop of Delaware on June 28, 1968 and it was consecrated bishop on November 15 of the identical year by Presiding Bishop John E. Hines in Christ the King Catholic Church. He retained the publish till his dying on Feb 25, 1974 as a result of cardiac arrest in Wilmington, Delaware.
