Nick Mead

Ernest Nicolas “Nick” Mead (19 March 1922 – 2 May 2015) would be a Royal Navy officer of world war ii who sank two U-motorboats. In May 1943 he sank U-89 that he was awarded the Distinguished Service Mix. In April 1945, Mead, as officer on watch around the bridge from the anti-submarine destroyer HMS Watchman, purchased the measures that sank U-1195 that he received a bar to his DSC.
